Tiltil's iphone just died. It made a buzzing screen effect and died. Then the apple logo appeared on the screen. I did a hard reset trick twice but it didn't work.
So I put it in the fridge. Yeap, the old battery trick. When batteries over-heat they stop working. You put it in the fridge, they come back to their senses. Or maybe the threat of freezing convinces them to pull it back together, who knows.
Anyway, the fridge trick worked (not the freezer trick, the fridge trick. There is a subtle difference between scaring your iphone to working and freezing it to death). Left it in the fridge for about 15 minutes and then did the hard reset and the phone started working again.
What a piece of crap.
[Addendum] Nope, didn't work. It stayed turned on for a while. Then iTunes deemed it "corrupt" and tried to recover it, and ended up killing it completely. This is the second time.
What a piece of crap.
